Can I admit something to you?

Dear, Reader,

A good friend of mine gently pointed out to me that the language I use when describing my experience of evangelicalism is often wrapped up in what I DON’T want.

I’m like: Yeah. And?

She then asked: What DO you want? Because if you keep focusing on what you’re fighting against, you’ll subconsciously allow yourself to shift from being oppressed to being victimized.

Whhhhaaattt??

First of all, everyone needs a friend like this.

Second, let’s talk about what this looks like.

Whenever you leave or question a system that created pain, it’s normal (and healthy IMO) to rage against the injustice of it all. Don’t lose that fire.

And also.

We need to ask ourselves what we're gonna do with it. Because if you don’t intentionally choose to direct it toward something better, it’ll burn you alive.

With that in mind...here's what I want for you.

I want to help you understand and inhabit your power 🔥 so you can actively participate in shaping your life - rather than defaulting to the systems around you.

That starts with learning how to come home to yourself.

To reconnect with the version of you who’s always been there underneath the conditioning — the one who knows what she wants, what she values, and what she will no longer tolerate.

Here's what's possible when you start directing your fire:

✨ You create more peace — because you’re no longer constantly second-guessing yourself or fighting your own reactions.

✨ You create more clarity in your decisions — because you can tell the difference between your voice and the ones you’ve inherited - and choose which one you actually want to follow.

✨ You create more emotional steadiness — because you can be with what you feel without immediately trying to regulate yourself into something more acceptable.

✨ You create more energy and time — because you’re no longer pouring it into overthinking, self-monitoring, or chasing what you think you should be doing.

✨ You create better health — because you start treating your body as a source of information, not something to override or push past.

✨ You create more trust in yourself — because you make decisions without spiraling, and you don’t abandon yourself afterward.

✨ You create more influence in your life and relationships — because you’re no longer subtly deferring or minimizing yourself to keep things comfortable.

✨ You create more ownership over your life — because you have an internal reference point you can return to instead of outsourcing your decisions.

✨ You create more room for joy — because your life starts to reflect your actual preferences, not just what you’ve been conditioned to prioritize.

It’s not that challenges disappear. You just meet them differently.

More grounded.
Less reactive.
More able to stay with yourself in it.

If you’ve already done a lot of the thinking—and you’re realizing thinking isn’t helping anymore—this is the next level I’m talking about.

Our small cohort starts on April 19. And it’s designed for exactly this kind of shift.

P.S. If you’re reading this and thinking, “this is me, but I don’t know if I’m ready”—that’s a very normal place to be. You don’t need certainty to take a step, just a little willingness to see what happens.

Dear, Reader, I was at a scrapbook retreat this past weekend. For those of you who don’t know, you spend a weekend with a bunch of other women, cropping pictures, adding embellishments and journal boxes, and eating lots of snacks. It’s a lovely little creative getaway. Many of the ladies there practice some sort of faith. They’re a mix of evangelical Protestants and Catholics. I am neither, but one of them asked if it’d be ok if we prayed together before meals. I appreciated the question and...

Dear, Reader, During a recent girls night, my best friend and I got to talking about how differently we’ve experienced our faith. She grew up in a super small town. So small that she likes to brag about the day her town got its first four-way flashing light. Additionally, she was the youngest of five kids AND a pastor’s kid. She legit lived in a fishbowl. The pressure to “be good” and follow the rules was intense. She also was/is strong willed, confident, and not afraid to speak her mind. As...

Dear, Reader, So, I have to tell you a little bit more about the specific thing that came up for me during my last sound therapy session. I already told you about the full body release, but I didn’t tell you what was happening in my head. I kept having this paradoxical feeling of wanting to be known. And also this intensely uncomfortable sense of not wanting to be noticed at all. I kept pulling on that thread throughout the following week and realized this was nothing new. As a kid, I was...
